Landscapes
Here are a couple of recent shots the first is a HDR which I'm not that happy with a little too unrealistic looking C&C please.

Re: Landscapes
Roger I don't think the first one is that unrealistic. The contrast on the right hand rocks of the rock pool may be a bit high but overall it is an interesting scene. The yellows and greens are so eye catching in the second picture that I suspect there is a great semi abstract lurking there.

Re: Landscapes
You could always tone it down a bit. Nice images.

Re: Landscapes
For me, Roger, the foreground of #1 looks acceptable (rock pool) but the sea and distant cliff seems overdone.
Much the same with #2.
As John said, maybe reducing the settings a little may help. Although I have never been really happy with any auto HDR which I have attempted. So now, I merge the shots by hand using layers and masks which means I am totally in control of the end result.
That does require learning a tiny bit of extra skill and experience though.

Re: Landscapes
The HDR technique does seem to produce vibrant colours. I made a remark in another thread asking if HDR was needed to capture the full range from brightest to darkest in the image, or if it was used as a form of PP. It was meant to be a genuine question, not a criticism. Perhaps you could post the original photos used in the creation of this one. Or I could go out and take my own...
