Cheetah
On my last trip I was having a lot of bad luck with cheetah, hours were spent searching and the ones found were either too far away or under thick shade away from the sun. As luck would have it during the last hour of sunlight on our last day we found this female and two juvenile males near our campsite. Once they got used to our prescence they came out of cover and relaxed in the open. The light conditions were tricky, golden hour but deep dappled shade was a challenge.
C&C welcomed

Re: Cheetah
Wonderful, Clive.
I think you've managed the lighting very well and the whole mood of the image is of evening time and everything and everyone slowing down and relaxing.

Re: Cheetah
Great shot, Clive, and especially for getting down there and making the angle. Where were you?

Hi All, many thanks for the feedback and time taken to comment, it is appreciated.
David, this was taken in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park in SW Botswana, it is one of the better areas for Cheetah within Botswana.

Re: Cheetah
I love this, Clive. I had the good fortune to see this elusive animal in the Masai Mara and I will never forget the experience. Thanks for the memories. Apart from the beautiful light in this image, I love the cheetah's pose. Great capture.

Re: Cheetah
Clive, Great looking cat and a wonderful capture. Thanks so much for sharing. The only time I would get to see one of these magnificent animals is behind thick glass or fencing in a zoo.
