#1 seems a bit strange to me, Dave. A dark patch of blue sky but with brighter areas on both sides.
The others are fine.

I don't think the CPL did you any favours on #1, it has the classic look of a CPL use on too wide an angle shot - a dark band of sky with brighter bits either side. (as I now see Geoff noticed too)
I quite like #2 because of the sunlight.
#5 works for me, but only if I crop most of the foreground to concentrate the attention on the more distant sunlit rolling hills.
So for me, the lighting is paramount.
