The Outback in B&W

A shot from a recent trip inland. The B&W conversion isnt something I do a lot but would like to get good at it. I'm attempting to get a shot that will look good printed and hung on a cotton rag. C&C appreciated

Very dramatic shot, Wayne. The sky is breathtaking. I wonder if you'd shot this a little closer to the rock pile whether the stones might be a stronger anchor and would have provided a little more separation. Was this shot as wide as you could go?

Have to agree with Kevin that a little more separation between sky and foreground might help. Could you blend two layers, one exposed for the sky and 'tother for the foreground?

Agreed with all the above. Also try to avoid the blown highlights in the sky. Dodge and burn to bring out the detail and texture in it as much as possible.

Thanks guys, I was trying to capture all of the clouds but can try cropping it. I agree the the rocks may look a little small in the scene but wonder if it's printed at A1 if this will be the case?
