Polarizing and GND/ND filters
Hey all, I am new to the forum and happy to be here.
I have a Canon 50D with a 24-70mm f/2.8 L series zoom lens. I have been looking at some of my photos and realized that I will be in the market this season for some filters (CP and GND/ND). I have been reading a bit about filters and which ones are the best to buy and have been varying in success from webpage to webpage. I am pretty sure its because everyone is using a different combination of equipment.
Anyone know which types of lens work well with my system?
Thanks,
Adam

Re: Polarizing and GND/ND filters
Hi Adam,
I use Singh-Ray for my GND and Reverse GND Filters (also for my ND and Vari-ND filters), and a Lee holder.
Many here like to use CPL filters, but I've never found them to be useful to be honest (I have a couple of Heliopan variety).
If you're interested, I've got a few of my images on the Singh-Ray blog that I've stop with their filters, along with a commentary on using them to create the image.
Hope this helps

Re: Polarizing and GND/ND filters
Thanks Colin,
Know anything about any of the less expensive brands like Tiffen B+W ?
I see a bunch of people using these filters and dont know the difference as far as how many layers of film on the filter makes for better quality.
