When do you upgrade your software?

I guess that it is vital to upgrade all of the soft you are using on a constant basis especially browsers since you don't know which vulnerability will be used to steal your money. Especially when you deal with digital money. Read stories about fake Electrum updates, for example :cool:

I more or less do as Dave does. I certainly do not install beta versions.

I also am cautious about any upgrades to my desktop system and always apply updates/upgrades/ new software to my laptop first (I can if necessary, trash and rebuild with no damage to my key system).

I always establish my own restore point before I apply any changes to either my laptop or desktop.

And finally, I create a new system recovery image of my Desktop whenever I install 'significant' new software and, ....which is not very often these days!:D
