Nice! Those crisp clear drops are A motivation to get a macro lens in themselves. My wife wants to get into macro so.... maybe when she recovers from back surgery we can get some equipment.

    All nice images Mat

I like it too! Very crispy, sharp, detailed and colourful ! Looks almost came from a fantasy land! What macro lens do you have?

    Hi Mat,

These are excellent shots. Incredible sharpness and detail. I love them.

Just in the spirit of offering *something* to take away:

#2 might be better without the dark circle on the left.

I think I'd crop or clone out the white line on the left of #4.

    Great set. Very well done!

Thanks Mark, Are you sure buying a macro lens is a good idea for someone recovering from back surgery ? I spend quite a lot of time bending down and leaning into crevices/trees etc ! It's also fairly heavy especially when it's got a flash unit on too
Hope you do decide to get one, it's a whole new world out there. I look foreward to see your photos

    Mat, simply stunning.

Having posted an attempt at an ant macro this evening that I was disappointed with you have given an excellent example of what I must aim for. Thanks for sharing these images.
