Porcupine up a tree
We were out for a drive in a rural area just out of town during "magic hour" when my daughter spotted a young porcupine way up near the top of a tall (20m / 70ft) tree. Fortunately I had the 150 - 500mm with me was able to get a good "action" shot of the animal.

That is a great shot Manfred - your daughter is obviously a good spotter! The porcupine looks like he is pointing the way. I can imagine a scene like this in an animated movie and think you should send this off to Hollywood and hope for some royalties

A photo may not tell a story but boy the possibilities to make one up for this brave fellow are enormous. Well taken.

Re: Porcupine up a tree
Great shot. Must be a peculiarity of Canadian porkupines - never seen an African one up a tree....

Gorgeous photo. Everything about it is perfect. I love how you capture the detail of fine hairs of the critter.
