Researching Backgrounds with Fashionista

Hi everyone
apologies for my absence... life & stuff really..
Anyway it is nearly Debutante Day here again, so I have been out scouting locations... I want to have a 'solid green' background up my sleeve, in case the day (June 1) is grey - happy for the light on a non sunny day - but want to limit or exclude a grey sky from the photos

I also want it to be somewhere where 7 young ladies - overly excited can get to with their partners & not trip over their high heels!

Fashionista was my 'test dummy' a speedlight to one side 'on a stand' (brother now at residential college at melbourne uni - how unhelpful, not to have my VAL) with the gary fong attached.

The lighting looks great, but I'm not sure what you've done to the skin on the first one -- looks very "plastic" (and a wee bit of it on the 3rd one)

Hmm I see what you mean, I was trying for an autumn type processing to match the background - but it's sort of pink/peachy rather than warm.
I have another place to visit this week, shall try again!

It was more the processing applied to the texture of the skin that I was meaning. I tried pushing / pulling the levels a bit to see if it was a levels thing but I couldn't make any difference.

The break in the leaves in the background of shot 3 creates a distracting high-contrast area. Other than that, the backlight that gap provides rims her hair beautifully, and I think the subject stands out best against the dark green.

Thanks Colin, I need to take her out again to another venue, so we will see how that goes.
