As well as being a superb image in technical terms, for me it beautifully captures the whole atmosphere of the event. You can feel and hear the noise of the crowd.

Actually, young(ish - I'm 25) ones still use "stoked." But we/they say we're "stoked on ______." Which sounds like a drug reference to me, so I only break this one out (along with lots of other weird words and uses) when I'm working with skiers.

I can't say I like WWE and UFC, but I do like good photos. This one has a great sense of place, drama, and energy.

Thanks everyone, glad you like it.

This was a really tough shoot. Stuck in a single spot, you had to wait for the shots that was facing you. (and do a little practicing on the one's that were not. ) The light was difficult, with lots of action and low shutter speeds. Also the light was always changing when they put a spot light on and off. (lost alot of shots because i forgot to make changes) ISO's were up in the 1250 to 1600 range, with shutter speed 1/500 at f/2.8. (not quite enough shutter speed for the fast action )

All in all, a learning experience, and came away with a few good shots.
