Sentry Duty at the gates of Hell
![Sentry Duty at the gates of Hell](http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7416/8715338308_1b215b65a9_c.jpg)
My father has been in this sad, joyless place for 2 weeks as he recovers from his latest stroke. They have knocked the rest of the building down and only the central shell remains in the midst of a building site. No one seems to care much about either the building ..or the occupants.
Thank goodness the mind and soul are ever free to wander...and that he is getting home tomorrow...for a while at least.![Smile](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/smile.png)
This pic and others have helped me cope with the journey.

Must be a powerful image when it evokes the smells of hospital corridors from long ago. Didn't realise there were still some of these Victorian relics still in use in the country.... or even Falkirk!

Re: Sentry Duty at the gates of Hell
Thanks, Sharon. Having spent too long in hospital myself, I can only feel thankful that I, and my family, did not have to endure this. I hope that your dad can be comfortable when he comes out.
I know I didn't comment directly on the image, just how it affects me.

Nice image. It's even better to learn that your father can soon go home.
