Anyone use MPIX?
I noticed a lot of photographers use MPIX' zenfolio to showcase their photo shoots of clients and handle printing but the plans look confusing.
Anyone else use it or do you have your own website or another means of showing your photo shoots?

Re: Anyone use MPIX?
It looks like you're under the impression that MPIX and Zenfolio are one in the same. That is not the case. MPIX is a printer who is a vendor that is partnered with Zenfolio, a web hosting service provider. I use Zenfolio and it is pretty straightforward. You can use their "canned" web pages or customize to the degree that you desire. You upload photos to the site and set the level of access that you want for your clients. Then you can either offer your clients products through the vendors that partner with zenfolio, make download or you can provide "self fulfilled products" and simply use Zenfolio as the hosting site and as the medium to conduct transactions.
As an example, if you click on the link in my signature it will take you to my home page that is actually hosted on Zen. In my galleries there is one that I set up for an exhibit that I did list month. Anyone who was interested in purchasing a piece in the exhibit was simply directed to the gallery where they could order the piece that they saw hung in the exhibit. I handled them all as self fulfilled orders and used printers of my own choosing rather than any of the Zenfolio affiliated partners. Very simple and easy to do.
I'd recommend you sign up for their free trial and poke around with the features.

Ok- Thanks Dan. I honestly thought it looked way to confusing with their percentages and the like and their partners but if it fairly simple i will check it out again. I'll also visit your gallery now.

A competitor is Smugmug, which partners (for its pro printing) with Bay Photo and White House Custom Color. I use Smugmug.
