No, I was expecting to see a small stream coming out of the ground!

But the double posting has confused me!

The next question is, what sort of spring? Rather looks like an upholstery or mattress spring to me. And is that an old pair of tweezers on the left?

    Good colour, focus and exposure.

    Re: Spring

Yep, ya got me there Joanne

I find the 'in focus' silver thing leading from spring to left edge of frame a distraction - could it have been removed? or cloned out?

Then I'd probably frame it with the subject biassed more to the top and right of the composition, to balance the thing lower left corner. Oh, and I'd zap that half red circle at the left edge on that too.

    Just my thoughts,

Nope, I was actually expecting to see rusty things, that is EXACTLY what I think when I hear the word spring
    Hehehehehe
I am joking, hehe you got me also ^^
I loved the picture, however, the colours are so nice together! What is this blue "rock"?

Hi Geoff, My computer went a bit mad and posted twice (that's me saying I am rubbish at technology and don't know what I am doing ) OK what sort of spring is it.......search me not a clue, this image was of the remains of a fire from the building site (Barn Conversion) next door. It looked like a mixture of household gear and building materials so you are probably correct on the mattress spring. Goodness knows what the tweezer thing is.......I am going to check it out tomorrow and let you know

Blimey Dave, if I did what you have suggested it would take me 3 weeks, but if you would like to have a go be my guest, I would love to see anyone turn this old rusty spring into a thing of beauty......maybe you should use it on your PP Challenge

Hi Lu, This blue rock is just ash from a fire, I do not know what was burnt in this fire but it left this blue/grey ash.

    Spring

    Well, I rushed a bit

What I said above, plus desaturate a few other bits, especially the ends of the wires leaving frame top left.
Enhance saturation on foreground object to match the spring.

    Any good?

    Re: Spring

The "spring" appears to me to be from some sort of spiral note pad, and the "tweezers" might just be a pair of nail trimmers. OK, I spend way too much time digging through my fire pit after a good fire (mostly just to remove all the beer bottles)

I like the shot, even though it is NOT flowers!

Yes very impressed especially cloning out the metal bit at the side. I think we should sell prints to scrap merchants to hang in their portacabins - 50/50 on the profits
