It’s interesting that the first para. is somewhat dedicated to extolling the Shallow Depth of Field capacity . . . mentioning (as expected) the equivalence of the classic portrait focal length, being 85mm in 35mm format.
The shallow DoF ‘benefit’, is somewhat an oxymoron.
I wonder if that’s the main marketing strategy of the lens?
I also wonder if it was purposeful omitting the other fact of “Equivalence”?
i.e., the same DoF would be had by using around F/5~F/5.6 using an 85mm lens on a 35mm Format Camera.
