That's exactly what I thought when I bought it (except the price differential was greater because I wasn't looking to buy an upgrade from the Adobe site, but a complete new installation).
I downloaded the trial from the Adobe site (to get me going whilst I waited for the boxed version to arrive) and then typed in the licence key from the boxed, bought version when it did arrive.
