Does this Work?
Hi all,
Just after some thoughts and feedback on if you think the selective colouring works with this one. I like it but understand that selective colouring is not everyone's cup of tea.
Cheers

Re: Does this Work?
Yes it does. I'm not a great fan on the basis that in many images it is used wrongly, in my opinion. It's as if folks have just discovered it as a tool, want to play with it and bring back the colour of something/anything and tell themselves it's a good 'un.
But when it's right subject, right setting, right context, for the right purpose (as I think is the case here), then it works.

Works really well. I echo Donald's comments about the use, misuse or abuse of the concept. This is one of the instances wher it works well.
Now tell me if my interpretation is out to lunch. Is this echoing the concept of the Russian nesting dolls?

Re: Does this Work?
Yes, this works for me. Ironically, I would not call it selective color; instead, I would call it selective monochrome. That's because the monochrome style brings out the texture and shape of the rings that frame the figurine. That explains why I would like to see the image changed to include color on the face and torso of the figurine.
