In the pink...
Dragonfly eggs.
Could not get too many shots due to my precarious bent way over position.
C&C always welcomed and appreciated.

Re: In the pink...
Amazing! I've never seen dragonfly eggs; very cool. Interestingly, before I saw shot two, I was thinking shot one would work well as a square crop, with the eggs being in the right half of the square (leaving a little bit of the green bg off the left). I was surprised to see shot two as a square after having though that for shot one (square crops are not common, but I think they work great here). Good job!

Re: In the pink...
I agree with Matt that they really are amazing. Am I right that the outer part of the eggs are a relatively soft material as opposed to a hard shell of a chicken egg? If so, what aspect of nature protects the wannabe dragonflies from predators?
The first one really works for me, though I wonder if you'll consider trying a crop that has a vertical orientation.

Re: In the pink...
Thanks Mike, Christina.
Crops and orientation. I have done both suggestions - one square and the other vertical.
1a. Vertical
1b Square

Re: In the pink...
The square 1a is miles better for me than the original of that shot, however I prefer the PP of the original post. The original colors look more natural / softer to me, though I don't know which rendition is closer to real life since I've never seen these. I really like these eggs! ...off to research dragonflies...

Re: In the pink...
Thanks Matt. The colours are most accurate in #2.
When I redid #1 for the crops I found that apart from the crop nothing else had been done to the image. I was in the "soft" phase then.
Edit - 1a and 1b redone and replaced. Colours in the redos should be closer to those in 2.
