I like the first one best. The dove is kind of an odd perspective, making it's head look unnatural to me. I'm not sure what's going on with the last two. On my monitor it looks like the bird was pasted onto that background. It seems separated somehow.

Your lapwings are better than mine
To improve these, there are some odd blades of grass peeking out from behind the subject in shots #1 and #4 I'd clone out if mine.

Hi, Terri. Thanks for commenting. The "paste aspect" is due to the shallow depth of field and the high contrast level. If you look to the grass you will notice that only the bird "depth range" is in focus. Regards, Originally Posted by terrib
