New Member Intro - gerryp123
Hello!
I'm Gerry (gerryp123) from Mills River North Carolina, in the foothills of the Smokies. Retired after a long career in computer science. I've been into photography for about 50 years -- from view cameras to digital compacts. Spent lots of time doing (wet) darkroom work, but now its strictly digital for me (PS-CS6, LR, Nik, etc). Happy to learn more about this -- especially the Nik stuff. I enjoy all types of photography, but my primary photo interests are in fine-art landscape and nature photography. You can see some of my work at gerryp123.zenfolio.com

Hello and welcome, Gerry. Great to have you here and I hope you enjoy it as well as finding it informative. I hope you'll share your experience with others in order to help them learn. CiC is very much that sort of forum.
As for all the NIK software. Now that Google has taken over, I see we're not getting the same live webinars as we got in the past. However, many of these are archived and available on demand at http://education.niksoftware.com/tra...nars/archives/. If you haven't looked at soem of them, you may find them very useful. I did.

Thanks for the "welcome".
I hope to be active in Forum Competitions so you can see more of my work there. I've already entered Mono #813 (mini) and Monthly (June). Happy to receive comments on these.

Thanks for the "welcome".
Happy to learn all I can about Nik. Unique set of tools - very different than PS, LR. Would be nice to see a CIC tutorial or Discussion Group on this.
