Hi Travis, having spent the last week wandering around the botanic gardens photgraphing roses (I hate roses) I realise it is often impossible to avoid a distracting background. So when I say the duplicate in the background is a bit distracting, I know it is probably unavoidable. However, I think you could probably 'clone out' the bright green blob in the lower right.
But I do like this image. I like the detail in the leaves and wonder about the dof since the flower stamens(?) seem to be as well focused as the leaves.
