Water Lily No. 5
I struggle with trying to get the details in whites. The background was a little dark so I did some editing in Photoshop Elements. I liked the little bits of orange and yellow tucked between the pads and the rain drops.
Welcome c and c.
Having issues posting the EXIF data with the pic. So here it is:
Canon T3, F5.6, 1/640 sec, ISO-100, 250mm, Metering: partial, No flash

HI Ali- I like the composition. Did you meter for the white area? The yellow in the center of the flower appears really bright to me-maybe bring it down a bit and the white might just pop out more. Good photo- keep at it!--mary

Thanks Mary,
I'll try your suggestion of lowering the brightness of the yellow.
