I can't really explain why I like all of this empty space. It just seems to work for me. This picture just has a very modern feel to me. Comments welcomed.

I certainly see what you mean, although personally, I'd take 7% off the width on the right hand side.

There seems to be some variation in the background lighting so I suspect that helps this scene to work.
Probably not quite so effective if the background was a uniform dull colour.

Geoff, yeah, you're absolutely correct about the background. I like the variation in the background lighting. Seems less contrived to me.
Bruce, thanks. Being out of touch and somewhat alienated is what I think I like about this image.
