View from my Venice hotel window
My second story hotel room in Venice had a wonderful view of a small canal. It was great for shooting but, that was the extent of what I liked about this old fashioned room with no air conditioning or even a fan. We had to leave the window open for air and motor boats and gondolas with carousing tourists and singing gondoliers passed below us until the wee hours of the morning...
This is my first quickie edit from my vacation shots...

Re: View from my Venice hotel window
BTW... Notice the lady in the approaching gondola. She appears to be taking my picture with her cell phone. Lots of folks looked up at this big old guy hanging off the little balcony shooting the passing canal traffic. I am just happy that the tiny balcony did not collapse under my weight!
I know that on the way down I would have heard my wife call out. "I told you that would happen!"
Although I wanted to bring home the standard images of Venice, I wanted to also catch some images which "Said Venice" but, which might not be the common shots of that city.
While strolling along the Grand Canal in the early evening, I spotted these two young ladies shooting their reflections. I thought that it would be an unusual Venice image if I caught both the shooters and the reflection that they were shooting with the yellow hued buildings along the Grand Canal in the background.
Unfortunately, there was time for only one shot before the gals turned around to look at me! I had previously mad a couple of images with just the reflection before I saw the ladies shooting. I think that this image says more...

Classic shot of the canal. If you can't sleep you might as well be shooing
The second shot was an awesome idea to use the mirror. Great timing that the ladies came along. Did you offer to send them a copy?

Power Steering Venice Style
Guess where I would end up if I tried this act?
