Cedar Falls...Hocking Hills

I am almost through the photos from our 4 days at Hocking hills. These are from the Cedar Falls trail.

I think the light in this is wonderful. A pretty difficult scene to manage in terms of light and shade and and really good job has been made of that, I think.

It's also a really good example of having a good light area at the back of scene to pull our eye through the image. It gives the picture greet depth. And, finally, I think the line of the river, or more particularly, the lines at the edges of the river contribute to a powerful composition in terms of taking us back and across the frame. There are strong lines that our eyes can latch on to and follow.

That's a really good 'un, in my opinion.
