The darker tones of the animal against the lighter tones of the grass, works really well and I think it gives a real feel of this being its natural environment.
Only thing I'm not keen on is the amount of written text on and around the image. I don't think this helps the presentation. But that's about personal preference.

Hi James.
I don't know if you can lighten the elk's face a bit so more detail is visible. The grass at the bottom is so bright it pulls the eye away from the animal.
