In love

My son and his fiance asked me to take some "In Love" pictures on a recent excursion to the Jim Beam Distillery. This is the first time I have done "In Love" pictures.

Please comment/critique. I am travelling, so am processing on my laptop with Elements 8. I will be home tomorrow and can re-process using CS5 and Nik.

This is the first time I have done "In Love" pictures.

In which case, they're even more impressive.

What I particularly like is that you have conveyed, in my view, the 'naturalness' of the bond between them. I'm sure the emotional feelings that exists between them contributes to that (!), but you still have to capture and convey it in pictures .... and that's not easy. I think these are really good.

I am travelling, so am processing on my laptop with Elements 8. I will be home tomorrow and can re-process using CS5 and Nik

I'm not at all sure that they need very much. Less is often more. Don't let over-processing lose that wonderfully natural feeling that comes out in these images.

The kids (well, not so much kids any more) have kept me incredibly busy this week and are very encouraging of my photography. I was honored and nervous about the responsibility of providing them with a photo shoot that captured the essence of them and their relationship.

John. I almost think I know what you mean? I did suggest poses for them, but what happened after I said I want "this and this" was theirs.

Is this what you mean? Not frolicing in the meadows, fuzzy bokah, artiste? More what they would really do?

Yes, it's almost like they don't realize the photographer is there, except when they are looking directly at the camera.

Yes nice set of photos and thankfully not over processed, which some people tend to do. But what is it about 'in love' photos and railway tracks ;-) Nearly every engagement/in love photos always seem to involve railway tracks and oh trees as well.
