Why do the birds always get a feeder??
This little guy was stretching toward the bird feeder. He's tried going up the pole and he just can't make it.
C&C always appreciated.

Terri, this is a nice shot. I like the way you gave the little fellow room at the top of the pic to look into.

Re: Why do the birds always get a feeder??
Thanks everyone! I got two previous shots of him doing the meerkat pose but was thrilled to see him stretch up like he did. As far as the background, it's really something I'm concentrating on lately. With wildlife and nature it isn't always possible to control the background but when I stop using that as an excuse and start paying attention I find I can control more than I ever thought.

I've never seen a squirrel and I don't know anything about them, but I suspect that image captures their character.

That a great image, terri. Good depth of field as well. I usually sprinkle a little on the ground for the chipmunks, but now they found a way into the feeder and just help themselves.

Terri, as much as we don't want them up there filling their cheeks, this guy is a real cutie! Great capture!

Re: Why do the birds always get a feeder??
Thanks Greg, Connie and Susan for your kind comments.
Thanks also Steve! I do put some seed on the ground for the squirrels but try to keep them out of the feeder or they'll clean it out quickly. Here's a couple fun shots of a Pine Squirrel before and after squirrel proofing the feeder. The ground squirrels and chipmunks have never been able to climb up the pole.
