Re: Project 52 by George (geoz) Week 40 Another Pond
I love a well captured and interesting sunset and this one get double credit for its reflection George.
The power line is a unique addition, more so because you almost always see them as diagonals or horizontals so as a vertical, this one is far more eye-catching.

With the power lines image, there may be some argument over whether the lines are 'too straight' and would be better coming across the scene at a slight angle.
But I don't have any serious problem over the current arrangement; and the lines certainly take your view right into the scene. It works for me.
Thanks Geoff, I agree with you about the detail for the geese, but that is the best I could do with a 200mm. I do have other pics with the power lines at angles. I like mixing abstract and natural elements which I why I picked this one.

The geese are symmetrically arranged with the two on the right of the photo having their heads pointing to the right and the geese on the left side of the photo with their heads to the left. Did they follow your posing instructions or do it naturally?
Thanks Bruce, Can't take credit for posing them. I believe they mate for life so maybe they are two couples.

Thanks Frank, See my reply to Geoff above. To be honest I wasn't thrilled with the power lines going through the park at that pond. Tried to make the best of the situation.
Re: Project 52 by George (geoz) Week 41 Dusk at the Reservoir
Seems like the only time I have to take pictures at this time of year is very late in the day.
A fisherman getting the most out of the day.

One of my first attempts at capturing a bird in flight. (Actually the best of a bunch.)

I'm really not sure about this one. Any thoughts?

C&C welcome.

Although it would be easy enough to clone out George, you might find that the image would become just another sunset. Did you notice that the power line and lake shoreline intersect at the Golden Ratio?

I see that you have captured some beautiful images... My favourites are the milkweed (especially), the egret in the tree branches, the beaver and the princess. :)

With the fisherman photo, I wonder about a crop of the right side; which would mean a different size ratio though.
Flying birds from underneath are never easy, so this has worked well.
And with the last one, would reducing the foreground by around half be worth considering? And I suppose, a balancing amount from the right side.
