I thought that first one, was one my uncle took in '63.

Except for the Admiral symbol in No.1 and the Nike symbol in No.2, all very authentic looking retro.

Great bit of recreated nostalgia, or us Brits just don't change much!

A bit of genuine 1930's sometime around 1937 or 1938 which I found yesterday .. suspect taken by my step grandfather ... that scruffy guy beside the dog is me My S-GF had a quarterplate SLR though the family had a box brownie ... the lack of DoF in the foreground makes me think it was the SLR. Then the war came and the SLR was put away for the duration and I was permitted to use it after a term at photo school around 1952.

No, the middle figure of the first image is wearing some form of baseball cap. It should be a white handkerchief with the corners knotted!

Two more for you Paul .... The Kemp Family of Sevenoaks Kent My grandmother has her hand on my Grandfather''s shoulder I think and a smile from capturing her handsome naval officer. Standing beside her is 'Brother Roy' who I guess was killed in WWI. Photo late 1800 early 1900 and my grandmother prior to marraige I guess. The stiff poses suggests to me a long exposure for the group.


Other photos suggest to me they had something to do with growing hops. The family 'archives' passed to me after my grandmother's death so sadly everything is a bit vague.

Much as the OP I went for the British beach theme, not claiming a flawlessly historical re-enactment.
