Nice work Dan, if I ever get to Alaska that certainly would be on my bucket list.

    Hi Dan:
Great shots. Thought you were at Brooks Falls. Hope to have some similar shots from Silver Salmon creek by the end of August. Nicely done. I'll give you a call to pick your brain a bit before we head to Anchorage August 16th. You have some really great photo opportunities up there and you definitely know how to take advantage of them.

    How was your halibut fishing?

Glad you folks enjoyed the photos. Bud, you will be able to shoot at eye level where you are going and will likely have at least a few "opportunities" to get some full frame portraits if so desired. Good luck with your bears, Christina.

Bud, we did get our freezer stocked with hallies

    Re: Brown Bears

    Hi Dan,

Unfortunately my bears did not turn out well at all. It is hot and sunny in Vancouver so I guessed that the bears would come out to play in the water today and one of them did... However I was almost shooting into the sun, but the worst thing of all is that every single bear shot is covered in dark shadows on one side, and usually the head and eyes... I lightened the shadows and dodged in LR but they still look sad and over processed, even though some of the positions are cute.

Anyway no doubt I will go back another day. Lesson learned I will not take any photos unless they are in better light. (:

Though everyone has tossed deserving kudos, I can't help but add yet another one. Thanks for sharing!
