Golden Days
I dug these out of the archives yesterday. These are 2 pictures of my golden, Ky. I took these 1980 - 1981 or so with my Canon AE-1. There was so much dust and scratches that I processed in Alien Skin as oil paintings.
It has been a long time since I shot film. I may go back and try it again.

I cloned out the leashes on both, and on #2 added more space in front of the dog's nose and flipped it so it shows from left to right.

Re: Golden Days
Very nice photographs. I grew up with film, and to this day still miss it.

Re: Golden Days
Both very nice, but I especially love the second one. I just love that look.

Re: Golden Days
Thank you Richard and Bruce.
I was feeling melancoly that I had been so casual with my earlier film images. After much relocating (and a few divorces here and there). I have found very few pictures. I am not so cavalier anymore.

Re: Golden Days
Thank you, Terri as well
My aunt, Marcia Schlehr, was his breeder. She is a very credentialed granddame in her own right - noted artist, breeder and dog show judge, US, CA and the UK - at a great age of 80.

Re: Golden Days
Marie,
I wish that I had the opportunity of shooting digital in my early days and that I stored my images on a site like smugmug.com.
Like you, I have so few of my film based images...
My good images on smugmug have survived a computer crash which wiped out a lot of my not so good shots.
I have been to a lot of places and have done a lot of things that I wish I had a record of...
Of course, I shoot a lot more with digital than I ever did with film...
