Re: Experiment with shadow and perspective
Very nice picture, I personally would make the dark a bit lighter.

Re: Experiment with shadow and perspective
Koos,
A very well composed interesting subject. See what happens if you increase the contrast a tad or how about a tad more saturation? Perhaps it is only my screen.
I like it.

Re: Experiment with shadow and perspective
Hi,
Here is a picture with less darkened shadows, like it more?
Thanks for the comment.

Re: Experiment with shadow and perspective
Hi Andre,
And here with a little more contrast and saturation.
I will let it sink in and look a few times to decide which I like best.
Greetings,
Koos

Re: Experiment with shadow and perspective
Just a quick question, Koos, if I may please?
On the shadow wall, is there a 90* corner, or is it one straight wall coming back toward the camera?

Re: Experiment with shadow and perspective
Hi Terry,
Haha, I created a visual effect by darkening a part of the "wall", so that it looked like 90 degrees corner. It is, by the way, not a wall in real.
Can you solve the puzzle?
Thanks for the comment.
Regards,
Koos

Re: Experiment with shadow and perspective
I doubt I can solve the puzzle Koos!
But the reason I asked is because there appears to be a “tell” at the base of the wall where the “corner” might be!

Re: Experiment with shadow and perspective
Dear Terry,
It is part of a platform of wooden watchtower, processed in photoshop and tilted 90 degrees for the effect. Can you explain what a "tell" is?

Koos

Re: Experiment with shadow and perspective
Sure Koos! I apologize.
A “tell” is a giveaway. There is something at the base of the wall that made me think something was done. It “gave it away”!
The base of the wall appears to come toward the camera. Then make a 90* corner for a very short distance going toward the right side of the frame. Then makes another 90* corner and comes back toward the camera.
But I only see this happening at the base of the wall. The vertical flat part of the wall does not seem to follow these two corners.
Unless, of course, I’m seeing things (again!)!
