Pink Water Lily

I like to go out during my lunch break at work and take photos. There are a lot of wetlands and woods around.

The pink lilies were in a pond at a nearby cemetery. Sounds morbid, but it is a beautiful place. I was drawn to the color of the lilies and what I like about the photos is the different colors and textures of the pads.

The photo of the yellow lily was a retake. The one I took at lunch had the highlights blown out so I took another photo at 5 pm. I used partial metering and changed my focus point to just the center point.

Nice job with the colors. I like the comp better on the second one. The last one is awesome against the dark BG.

Thanks for your comments. I think I like the second one best too. It looks nicer with the larger depth of field.
