I recently had cause to take a shot of a failed battery clamp and did not want to spend time setting up to get it perfect.

Having taken a couple of shots with it simply placed on paper with two flashes the shadows were far too harsh so a quick solution was to use an upturned glass pyrex dish. So I will now look for a piece of clear flat glass for similar use in the future
