It's got a sort-of film quality about it. Not that that in itself necessarily makes it good, but it just seems to fit the scene perfectly.
The words that sprang into my mind when I viewed this were 'muted' and 'subtle', qualities that I really like. I think the other thing that really 'sells' this image to me is the fact that it is, for me, perfectly sharpened. I think it would have been oh-so-easy to just push sharpening too far and get it a bit crunchy, or to put in too much 'pop' via Local Contrast Enhancement.
I think that the other wide angle landscape (Post#1) is a beauty. They've got to be viewed in the Lightbox at the larger sizes.

Donald i really appreciate your comments. And yes i did not sharpen at all just sight contrast.
