very nice overall shot, composition and B&W conversion..
Many photographers have an immediate and automatic reflex to grab an UWA lens for landscape photographs. This image proves my contention that long focal lengths are also very viable tools for landscape imagery. This is especially true in the Western United States in which the areas can be clearer than in the forested eastern areas of our nation.
Another single tree shot with a long lens...

I wish I had not sold my canon 70-200mm f/4 for the 70-200 f/2.8, that was a lot of glass to lug around with me in the back country. I am seriously thinking of reverting back to the f/4 70-200mm
