Stem under glass
I got this idea a couple weeks ago but the setup that I was using in my makeshift studio wasn't the right one. I changed the setup today.
The setup: Light shining from behind the subject through a large diffuser and around white poster board (yes, the background material really is white). The subject is on a mirror tabletop. Gobos very close to the lens on the left and right sides blocked the light that would have created awful flare.
The post-processing: Converted to black-and-white. Color was then added to the mid and light tones.
