Sunset photos needed

After asking Donald, the site moderator, who in turn asked Sean, the site owner, and receiving their permission to proceed, I am asking you to help me out in a modest research effort that requires images. The research effort is an attempt to determine which weather conditions are favorable for colorful and interesting sunset or sunrise images. To conduct the research, I need sunset or sunrise images (both great ones and perhaps not so great ones). I also need the location of the image, the time and date it was taken, and the direction. In return, I will credit your image if I use it in a publication. If I do not use it in the publication but do use it in the research, I will credit you in the acknowledgements. Photos (images) near cities or airports are best because I can find the weather conditions when the image was taken. Images from remote places are not so helpful because there may not be any weather data from such places.


As for the research, my plan is to write a book on weather. I have some background in meteorology; my co-author is a professional. We may also publish articles in photography magazines or elsewhere, again, giving credit along the way.

Another for the not so good category - Abu Dubai, looking west, 18.23 5 November 2012 - sunsets unspectacular there we thought because of too much desert dust, but maybe it is the weather ?? Had simiar results a ew days later in the wilds of Oman too.
