    Flower from secret garden

I was zooming out while taking the picture. This is something I have never tried before.
Any constructive criticism welcome, but please don’t be too harsh on me

I've seen the technique work well, but not in a busy image.

I've played around with this technique before as well and have never been totaly pleased with the results. I think I agree with Chauncey here; the techniqe adds complexity to the image, and your choice of black & white was a step in the right direction. It reduces some of the complexity by eliminating the impact of colours, but I think it would work better with fairly simple subject and a very plain background.

I've tried this technique and find it works best when one flower predominates and there is already movement in the frame. You might also like to try zooming in as you shoot - the effect is not the same.
