    Caught in the act!

Noticed what I thought was a giant black and bright orange Bee in my garden today, after rushing in to get my camera I eventually found the Bee on a heap of dirt and rubble. It turned out to be a Queen and her Male escort literally joined together making what will be lots of bee babies. They were in an awkward place with no way of me steadying myself so these are the best I could get (very dissapointed but would have had to be a gymnast to get a decent steady shot). I though it was quite perilous for me but if you look closely at pic 1, 2 and 4 you can see her stinger in between her and her mate

Congratulations on grabbing the opportunity of a very unusual photo. What type of lens, shutter speed and aperture were you using?

Hi Bruce, I was using my Canon EF 24 -105 L IS USM 1/200 F5.6 ISO500. I am saving up for a really good macro lens for the next time I find something unusual but small.
