    Hi Antonio,

Thank you for your suggestion.Had it been 10/15 years before. I might have joined, now in this old age of mine ( I am running 76 years ) and not in good health. I rarely go out.

As regards recovering cost of your tour/visit with photographers, just wanted to know whether you will be on commercial tour, or just as tourist visiting interesting places and taking photographs..

Some 30/35 years ago I had one Japanese friend, he was a PHOTO JOURNALIST, he used to come to Kolkata every year, was staying here for one month in budget class guest house, was picking up one topic, such as customs of Bengali people, custom of Marwari wedding etc with appropriate photographs, which was published in Japanese Magazines
    and he was earning handsomely.

If you are covering in that way, here in India there are plenty of subject and opportunity.

I am sorry to read that. I wish you get better.

I do know there are very interesting subjects and places to shoot in India. India is a semi-continent remember ?
There is a huge variety of people, customs, uses and traditions. A civilization that is.
I wish I could make a trip with that purpose.

You know, ioga is very up to date here these days.
My wife would like to go to India and get a serious course of ioga. I am not very fancy of this. I am more nervous, impulsive, sudden and spontaneous.
She has even investigated on the web.

And we could afford to be there a month or even more. But we can´t because of my mother in law. For the moment anyway.

I don't want to earn money traveling with people. If I could, or the opportunity arises, well that would be fine. But I don't think I ever will be able to do it.
I am very skeptical about the future of this country seing the giants India, China and Brazil to rise fast, fast. And Europe down, down...
But this is a talk not for this place/forum.

Thank you for commenting and dropping these lines here.
    All the best to you

Why should I ? I have mobile phone, which I use only when I go out of station. Now when I go to Mumbai Photographic Fair/Exibition I will carry it with me.

I will try to post some unprocessed ( without PP ) photographs of the Exibition from Mumbai in the forum for all of you to have quick look.

    Hi Antonio,
Have you ever explored southern part of India? It will offer you a totally different landscape and people / culture. You can check out some of the snaps from my region - Kerala, in my flickr album (refer my sign). Kerala is also a famous tourism spot and Vasco de Gama first set foot in this place - first European to come to India.

Though I traveled a bit of Europe, not yet got a chance to visit Portugal. May be next time

    You mean here ?
This is the most beautiful palace I have ever seen.

We arrived late and it was night already. I shot with 800 ISO and with steady hands as much as possible.
    Saint Antony on the Church.

    Hi Antonio,

These snaps looks like to be taken from Southern part of India. So I guess you have traveled all over.

btw, the handheld shot of the palace is awesome. You can trust ur hands

I am yet to explore Northern India - it is famous for its Himalayan beauty for landscape photographers.

Now, coming back to the topic, why there is so much fuss about iPhone camera? It this phone camera much superior to any other phone camera? I own a Nokia N86 8 mega pixel, but results are just ordinary. How iPhone makes a difference? I learned that a few renowned photo journalists use iPhone very extensively...

Well, For me its not the 'iPhone' camera, that has surprised me, but a 'Phone' camera taking such nice shots.
