Three toed sloth - Tortuguero National Park, Costa Rica
Greetings!
Sorry I have not been very active on the forum lately, been very busy at work over the last several months and the weather has been so good in the UK that I have spent every waking hour, outside of work, on the golf course! I endeavor to contribute more in future!
Anyways, currently writing to you from Tortuguero in Costa Rica where we are taking our two-week holiday this year. Already seen masses of wildlife and only really on day two, but the shooting conditions are a little challenging at times.
I thought I'd post a pic I took today of a three-toed sloth hanging in the canopy. I love these animals. We were on a small boat about 50 feet below him, but was quite pleased with the outcome of this one...
Nikon D90 | Nikkor 70-300mm f/3.5-5.6 @ 300mm | f/5.6 | ISO 200 | 1/60
Processed in ACR, final sharpen and vignette added in CS6.
C&C always welcome

amazing that with all the leafy stuff, you managed to display just enough of creature. (the leafy stuff keeps it real). Looking forward to more from your vacation. Meanwhile have a great time.

Beautiful image of a gorgeous creature... Wish I were with you in Costa Rica.
The only feed back I can think of is the foliage on the top left side appears a wee bit bright... Looking forward to seeing more photos from Costa Rica.
