That's nice Kevin.
I really like this photograph. Like the way the path leads your eye to the hikers.

Great image Kevin...the shot and the PP.
Very nice indeed Kevin. I'm very fond of shots like this but a lot don't work so well (including most of my own !). But this one does work for me - mainly because of the composition and strong greenery - and the sun's rays too. I guess they are the reason you used f/22 but you managed the 1/10 sec shutter speed very well.

Thanks guys,
Glad you liked it. Dave, you are quite right about the f-stop, done purely to get the starbursts. I could never have pushed the ISO so far with my a77, but the a99 is at least 2-3 stops less noisy.
I think that I just learned something new!
Are you saying that it was your f/22 setting that gave you the sunburst like it is?
Hey, Chauncey
Exactly so. That is the classic aperture that I've used and have read about. I don't know if it's the only aperture, or more likely the minimum or the best aperture for the effect. Under the circumstances it was also a real pain because it was dark in the woods, and I had to push to an uncomfortable ISO and an insane shutter speed. I was surprised anything useable came out of it. Bless the inventor of image stabilization.
