I went out to Lake Moogerah yesterday afternoon looking to catch a sunset there. As it turned out, the sky wasn't spectacular but the light was quite nice on the water. This shot took a fair bit of pp to get it OK, including the use of ColourEfex Pro filters (Detail Enhancer and Brilliance/Warmth).
Details as follows
SS 0.4 sec, f/11, ISO 100, 17mm, Manual focus
5 portrait orientation shots stitched in CS6, some manipulation with Transform tool
I used a 2 stop GND (hard grad) to balance up the exposure of the sky and water with the grassy foreshore. The grass might look a bit bright to some but I kinda liked it like that.
Anyway, comments welcome as usual. And pls click on the image for full size viewing.
And here's one for the birders ..
Stumbled across a bird feeder at the lake with these two Rainbow Lorikeets. It was spur of the moment and I wasn't thinking clearly - I should have upped the ISO to get a faster shutter speed (from 1/30 sec) and the birds might have been a bit sharper.
