Camera and lens purchase help

I remember that a Chicago woman was featured recently because a young man had found her box of Rollie negatives and was cataloging them and publicising her as a street photographer. I did use mine for some street photography on one occasion but now I have used the G3 and the 14-140 I would hesitate to go back and there are compact lenses and wide zooms for MFT.

Many thanks for all the suggestions. I'll do research, weigh the pro and cons, and ask more specific questions as they arise.

From what I'm gathering there will be no one camera to meet all needs. Perhaps I should look at two different models, one for street shooting (great points about that) and another for more general needs.
