I liked the juxstaposition of the bright flowers against the contrasting cactus.

Nice; in the first image the projection from top is a bit distracting and may be trimmed out or cloned out
Did you keep the cactus bent around it, in the second?

These were growing wild on the roadside,consisting of a large tangle of cactus with the red flowers growing amidst it.
