The third photo is particularly nice. It has all the qualities that neither of the first two photos possess -- very nice depth of field and composition. In that photo the foreground vegetables are a little out of focus and everything else is sharp and I generally prefer the opposite. Regardless, your third photo makes me crave for the food and I don't know of a better compliment of a food photo.

Thanks Mike. I find food photography to be very difficult. Maybe because I'm a professional chef. Trying to capture the sensory characteristics of a dish that make one "crave" for the food is a real challenge.
