Andre, a couple of points. Firstly the top of the opening flower is leaving the frame through the top edge. Secondly, there is a detailed vein structure inside the flower (as on the outside) that can be recovered in PP - but I think you don't like to do that, so I wonder if less exposure would have revealed it more effectively?

I completely agree with Philip...the vein structure is better in the second but, the image itself is inadequate. Shooting jpeg and relying on the camera's software's interpretation of the image is, IMHO, fraught with futility.
