    not a fan of self portrait but i was testing some stuff with a speedlight. i just wish i had the chin in.

    The demarcation shadow needs to be more subtle.

    The missing chin - that's the problem with self portraits. Generally better to have a bit too much and crop I think personally. The shadow line is ok for me, I find the lit side of the face a little dark though and just a bit of fill or a reflector to catch that other eye would not be a bad thing and I don't think it would reduce the drama at all.

    I like this image, very creative. I like the composition and the dark background for the mood it sets I don't have any experience in portraiture but I agree that it would be nice to see your chin.

    I suspect that if you crop a fraction tighter from the top and right side the missing chin won't notice; and it may well look deliberate.
