I've a somewhat dated text on digital images, in spanish, and it states that one determinant of pixel quality is "exactitude geometrica" translated as geometric precision or exactness. Help, What does this refer to? Thanks for any help, jondavid

Possibly zooming in very large on your computer screen then checking for any 'duff pixels' ?
This one had me beat for a second, and I was thinking there was something lost in the translation from Spanish - so I did a little digging, and found this:
"Geometrical Accuracy
Geometrical or spatial accuracy is related to the number of pixel locations on the sensor and the ability of the lens to match the sensor resolution. Interpolation will not improve geometrical accuracy as it cannot create what was not captured."
Hope that helps?!?!?
What is a "duff pixel"?
Bruce
'Duff' usually means no good
Andrew, fabulous, your digging greatly appreciated. the definition makes sense. jd
